Pre Conference Events - Graduate/Professional Forum

Saturday December 14th & Sunday December 15th

The CASFAA Graduate and Professional Issues Committee extends a special invitation to all Graduate and Professional Financial Aid Administrators to attend the 2013 Graduate & Professional Forum on Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the beautiful San Francisco Marriott Marquis.

Come learn about critical changes that affect Graduate and Professional institutions and participate in discussions addressing the unique concerns of our students.  We will have a panel of experts from several federal loan servicers to field your burning question, and Jeff Hanson will be there to moderate.  Jeff will also whet your appetite for what will be served at his financial literacy training session at the general conference.  Nancy Coolidge will be there to share her insights on state and federal issues impacting our industry.  Vicki Shipley will update us on what’s cooking in DC. We will have a chance to exchange best practices so that you can return to your office with ideas to share with your colleagues.

So come early and join your fellow Graduate and Professional Administrators by getting a head start on the exciting 2013 conference activities! If you plan to attend the CASFAA conference (December 15th - 17th), you can take advantage of the low pre-conference GP Forum registration fee of $35.  If you are unable to attend the conference, please plan to join us for the GP Forum. The standalone GP Forum fee, (which includes your CASFAA membership) will be $110.  Don’t miss this chance to network with your colleagues over a break of light refreshments and delectable appetizers. Cable cars and colleagues… can it get any better than that?

If you have any questions, feel free to contact [email protected].

Graduate and Professional Breakfast and Town Hall meeting on Monday, December 2nd at 7:30 a.m.! (open too all GP conference attendees)

Jeff Baker, U.S. Department of Education, and Justin Draeger, NASFAA President, will bring their expertise to the GP town hall meeting beginning at 8:30. This will be a good opportunity to focus on the needs of graduate/professional students and to discuss ways we can help them.

Wondering about the latest Department of Education email campaign? Want to share your thoughts about the Shopping Sheet for graduate students? I encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to voice your concerns, ask questions, and get answers from Jeff and Justin.

If you are a member of the GP segment, please follow this link, to RSVP if you will be attending the breakfast/town hall.
